Areas of treatment
In my practice I support adults with a wide range of psychological difficulties and concerns. The main areas of my work are:
- Mood disorders
- Anxiety disorders
- Obsessive-compulsive disorders
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Adjustment disorders
- Prolonged grief
- Eating disorders
- Health anxiety and body dysmorphic disorder
- ADHD
- Schizophrenic disorders
If you do not find your concern explicitly listed among these areas, you are still welcome to contact me. In an initial consultation we will clarify together whether I am the right therapist for you.
Therapy options
Individual therapy
In the initial psychotherapeutic consultations we gain a first overview of your concerns and your current life situation. In a protected setting we assess whether psychotherapeutic treatment is indicated and could be helpful for you. If treatment is indicated and there is capacity available, I will be happy to take you on for further treatment in my practice.
Sessions usually last 50 minutes and take place weekly. Depending on your concerns and the indication, a higher session frequency can be useful, as it intensifies the therapeutic process and can support the success of treatment. We will agree on the right frequency together.
Group therapy
Depending on your concerns, it can be helpful to complement individual sessions with a therapeutically guided group.
Current information on group offers, dates and participation requirements is available on request.
Couples counselling and therapy
In couples therapy I offer you a protected space in which both perspectives have room and are heard. I support you in improving your communication, recognising entrenched patterns, strengthening trust and affection, or finding a new direction in times of crisis.
How does couples therapy work?
In the first session we get to know each other, check whether we are a good fit and clarify your concerns and goals. We then decide together on a session frequency that suits you.
The following sessions focus mainly on recognising shared patterns, working through conflicts, strengthening your connection as a couple or finding a new direction. Step by step, you develop new ways together of dealing constructively with crises, difficult situations and recurring dynamics.
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a scientifically based method for processing distressing and traumatic experiences. It is based on bilateral stimulation – usually guided eye movements – which helps the brain to reprocess stuck memories and reduce their emotional intensity.
In my psychotherapeutic work I use EMDR in particular for:
- Acute stress reactions and stress disorders
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Treatment with EMDR for other mental health conditions can also be considered together.
Costs
My practice is aimed at privately insured and self-paying clients seeking psychotherapeutic support – whether for acute distress, mental health conditions or the wish for personal development. For the costs to be covered by private health insurance or Beihilfe (civil servants’ allowance), a clinically relevant mental disorder must be present, as is the case, for example, with depression or anxiety disorders. Fees are charged according to the German fee schedule for psychotherapists (GOP).
Insurance coverage
As a rule, the costs of psychotherapeutic treatment are covered in full or in part by private health insurers and Beihilfe. The exact conditions – such as the number of reimbursable sessions and the amount reimbursed – vary depending on your insurance contract and tariff. Please clarify the details with your insurer before starting therapy and request any documents needed to apply for psychotherapy.
Self-paying clients
You can also take up therapy independently of health insurance. Fees are based on the GOP, agreed transparently with you before treatment begins and invoiced after the sessions.
Couples therapy
Couples therapy is not covered by health insurance. The costs are therefore not reimbursed by private or statutory health insurers and must be paid privately. Fees are likewise based on the GOP and agreed transparently with you before treatment begins.
Professional background
I am a psychological psychotherapist specialising in cognitive behavioural therapy and have been working clinically for several years. I received my licence to practise (Approbation) in 2024.
My professional experience includes treating patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. As an inpatient therapist I worked, among other things, with depression and schizophrenic psychoses, as well as in psycho-oncology and psychocardiology.
In outpatient care I gained broad experience with a wide range of disorders. A particular focus was the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder as part of my work at a trauma outpatient clinic.
In addition to my private practice, I have been working since 2024 as a training therapist at the teaching outpatient clinic of the Institute of Psychology at Goethe University Frankfurt. Working with students enriches my everyday work and allows me to pass on knowledge, stay in professional exchange and contribute to the quality of psychotherapeutic training.
Therapy sessions are available in German and English

My therapeutic approach
I see psychotherapy as a shared process in which we clearly define your goals and work on them step by step – sorting through distressing experiences, better understanding emotional processes and developing new coping strategies. The aim is to reduce psychological distress, strengthen personal resources and foster the ability to shape your own life actively and in a self-determined way.
A thorough diagnostic assessment forms the basis for developing an individually tailored treatment plan that is oriented towards your concerns and your life situation.
I work on the basis of current scientific evidence and complement classical cognitive behavioural therapy concepts with modern approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). A trusting, appreciative atmosphere is just as central to me as transparency in the therapeutic process.
